Description

This is a fantastic lot of basically a complete equipment set for the Bolex H16 Reflex-5 Movie Camera. The camera is in working order with footage proof. Visit the Youtube link below to see for yourself! I purchased this lot from a photography expert who worked for a science company decades ago to photograph substances (minerals, micro-organisms) etc so he cared deeply for his photography and movie equipment.
Everything you see is included in the lot:
– Bolex H16 Rex-5 Camera Body (Fantastic condition with little to minor wear) Winds just fine, and inner mechanisms operate smoothly.
– Vario-Switar 1:3.5 f=17 85mm lens designed specifically for this camera. (includes both lens caps and sun hood)
– Original Bolex Camera body box with styrofoam inserts and plastic sleeve containing spare parts
– Original Box for the Switar Lens with all styrofoam inserts
– Bolex Electric Motor Type MC-17 for the Bolex H16 & H8 / Included is the motor which attaches the the camera body and the power supply unit with electric probes. ( I have not tested this item so I do not know if it works. One of the wires near the end of the power cord has been separated, if you need more photos, just ask.)
– Bolex Viewfinder to be attached to camera body
– Bolex Tubex Extension Tubes for macro-cinematography ( with box and instructions)
– 1969-1970 issue of Bolex Reporter Magazine (awesome photos and articles)
– Paperwork including:
-Paillard Bolex branded envelope
-Switar 85mm Instruction Manual
– Bolex h16 RX-5 Instruction manual
– Bolex Electric Motor Type MC17 Instruction Manual
– Macro-Switar f=26mm Instruction Manual (Lens not included)
– Paillard letter of authenticity
– Bolex Certificate of Guarantee Card
– Depth of field card for Kern Lenses 26mm & 85mm
– Service pamphlet for Bolex
– Bolex 16mm Registration cards
– Paillard Bolex return envelope
– Hand written notes about the camera from original owner
I took some footage of an apparel collection and random shots of my family which you can watch from the link below (Please keep in mind, we were shooting in low-light so the footage will look underexposed, also the original file of the footage is higher definition of the Youtube version so do not be worried about low resolution:
